However, as African countries increasingly rely on digital technology to drive economic growth and development, they also become more vulnerable to cyber threats.This can slow down the adoption of digital technology, which is necessary for Africa to remain competitive in the global economy
Africa has a significant shortage of skilled cybersecurity professionals, and this gap is expected to widen further in the coming years. Many African organizations and individuals lack awareness of the importance of cybersecurity, making them vulnerable to cyber threats.
To address this challenge, Ingressive for Good (I4G) and Cisco have partnered to provide the I4G Cybersecurity Scholarship to African youths. The scholarship aims to provide free cybersecurity training to African youths, thereby bridging the cybersecurity skills gap in Africa.
