LAGOS STATE SENIOR MODEL COLLEGE, BADORE

THE COMPUTER CLUB

An Introduction

The inevitable relevance of Information Technology (IT) to the development of the world at the personal, organizational, national and global levels is not in doubt.  Our world today, more than ever before, is largely shaped by the advancements in the field of IT. Essentially, our time has been dubbed the Information Age.

Regrettably, our dear country, Nigeria, is yet to enjoy a favourable position in the global IT map.  We consider it a matter of national urgency and pride that Nigeria finds its feet, strongly, in the unfolding challenges of the time.  In order to secure a better future for the country by which it could play its roles adequately well, the youth of today must be properly called to action.  It is in response to this challenge that our Club finds its relevance.

The computer club, Lagos State Senior Model College, Badore, provides a purposeful forum for exposing and educating its student-members and other stakeholders on the imperative of IT (Information Technology) to development in the contemporary age.  In the recent past, our Club has organized worthwhile activities for the benefit of its members.  This made the Club to be voted the Best Academic Club in the School for 2004.

DISRUPT THE STATUS QUO!

1.

Ideas are not enough. You must be action oriented to improve your future.

2.

Don't just think but act. You get results not only from thinking but from acting.

3.

You have ideas. You want to achieve. You want opportunity.

4.

But what are you still doing in your comfort zone? The comfort zone is a dangerous place.

5.

"I wanted to", "I was going to" cannot put on a light bulb, not to talk of moving you forward.

6.

Aren't you tired of hoping and criticizing? Stop defending status quo that locks you down.

7.

GO on the offensive now with IT Education and Empowerment.

8.

What is the use of ideas without action?

9.

Start becoming the achiever you deserve to be.

10.

MAKE SURE THERE IS NO STANDING ROOM FOR EXCUSES.
