Jidaw Systems Limited Bags 2005 Certificate of Excellence From ICT Achievers Award

Dated:  December 9, 2005

"Jidaw would continue to focus on the use of ICT for growth, empowerment, and self-development."   Jide Awe

Jidaw Systems, Limited ("Jidaw"), Nigeria's premier Information and Communications Technology ("ICT")  training and consulting firm, was recently awarded the highly coveted Certificate of Excellence at the ICT Achievers Award 2005 in the Category of "Top ICT SMME in Africa". The Achievers Award 2005 was organized by ForgeAhead in partnership with the Department of Communications of the Republic of South Africa.

The African ICT Achievers Awards is the most celebrated event on the African ICT landscape.  The Achievers Awards are widely known in the field as the "Oscars" of the ICT sector.  The theme for the 2005 event was "Hello Africa, Tell Me What You're Doing".   The rationale for the Achievers Awards is to recognize and honor excellence amongst ICT professionals who have made significant contributions to the ICT sector in Africa. The Achievers Awards aim to create role models of ICT excellence, stimulate investment in ICT innovation and skills enhancement, and encourage the growth and development of home-grown entrepreneurship on the African continent.  They also seek to promote the development of the African ICT SMME market.

Founder and CEO of Jidaw, Jide Awe, expressed appreciation for the award and recognition to the organizers.  According to Awe, the award is both an honor as well as a source of encouragement to continue to make a difference in the ICT development arena. Awe asserted that the award was not only an accolade for Jidaw but also recognition for everyone  committed to making a positive impact in Africa through ICT.  Awe promised that Jidaw would continue to focus on the use of ICT for growth, empowerment, and self-development.

Jidaw developed and operates www.Jidaw.com, a web based initiative that provides creative content for computing careers, telecom developments in Nigeria, and IT developmental issues. Today, Jidaw is recognized as a clear leader in Training, Certification and Career Development content that focuses on the fundamentals for building IT Careers

Jidaw thanks the organizers and participants for this great honour. THANK YOU for your support and encouragement. Some comments are published here:

I indeed acknowledge the assistance of the Director and management of Jidaw Nig. Ltd. for waking millions of Nigerian up to this challenge in which may be of better advantages for them in their respective areas of specialization but my own concern is about the fees for the programme.  I am a graduate in statistics but i have not gotten anything doing, So I am planning to do a programme in addition to my qualification in which i did. I don't know what to do yet but i have basic knowledge in computer engineering mainly hardware/ troubleshooting. All in all, i am using this opportunity to ask Jidaw management what exactly i can do in support of my experience in computer engineering and if i want to do the programme with Jidaw, how much would it cost me?
